I had a funeral to officiate this past week. Funerals are one of the toughest services for a pastor to do, especially if the service is for someone who did not know Christ, which was not the case in this situation this lovely lady had been a Christian for many years. I was sitting on the front porch enjoying a pleasant spring day when I noticed one of the Hostas plants bright, green leaf poking through the once frozen ground. I couldn’t help but think about Jesus’ confrontation with the Sadducees who didn’t believe in the resurrection of the dead. My First Blog
I must express my exuberance as I write my first blog for the new website. My prayers for this website are that it will bring encouragement and freedom to all who are struggling with addictions. My expertise, through personal experience, is dealing with chemical addiction. I understand there are other addictions that are just as destructive and hard to break as an addiction to alcohol, drugs, and nicotine. However, the same biblical principles that apply to setting one free from a chemical addiction will work just as well on other addictions. Using the principles set forth in Scripture and trusting …
